
David R Jones is Managing Director of R.M. Fields International Limited, United Kingdom.
David has over thirty years experience in the insurance archaeology field. Beginning in London as a coverage analyst in the Law Offices of Randolph Fields Esq. of Gray’s Inn Square, he has worked extensively with client companies in the United States but has always been based in the United Kingdom. He has been Managing Director of the company’s UK operation since 1996.
During his career as an insurance archaeologist, David has been involved in the reconstruction of the historic insurance programs of some of the largest companies involved in asbestos, tobacco, environmental impairment, hearing loss and other toxic tort litigation. In particular he has worked on the location of historic Employers and Public Liability insurance within the United Kingdom. This service has provided to both large and small business entities in the UK spanning just about all sectors of the business community there.
He also specialises in coverage provided by the London Insurance Market and has provided litigation support for companies trying to understand the labyrinth that is Lloyd’s and its reinsurance company, Equitas, and working with their management company, Resolute. In 2004, he co-authored an article on Insurance Archaeology that was printed in the UK based trade paper, Post Magazine.
Recently, David has expanded R.M. Fields’ client base by engaging in insurance reconstruction projects in continental Europe and in Australia.
David received his Bsc (Hons) degree from Westfield College, University of London in 1982. After two years at Imperial College undertaking postgraduate researching in Exploration Geochemistry he joined the Law Offices of Randolph M. Fields Esq., in Gray’s Inn, London.
